The Website
Bob Flower, General Manager of Witels Albert USA (the
d trade exhibition participation wasn’t working as well as they used to. He also noticed that slowly but surely, he was getting more phone calls from customers that found his company on the web. Yes, new customers found the website to be nearly impossible to navigate, but they were still calling. And that first contact, that beginning of a new relationship, was the key. After that, the Witels Albert high end products practically sold themselves.
Imagining being #1 in Google searches for his products and well above his competitor’s rankings, Bob called Advancing Internet Marketing (AIM). Together, we established a plan to redesign, rewrite, and optimize (SEO) his website. During our Niche Discovery process we identified a new opportunity for a seldom thought about product that no Witels Albert competitor marketed. A new “Tube Straighteners” page was added to the plan.
After establishing site baselines with AIM’s true client side tracking (what we call real tracking) and keyword phrase research, we began our work…at Bob’s speed… Continuous improvement over time… And with a payment schedule that fit the Witels Albert budget.
“The results are phenomenal” says Bob Flower after his redesigned, rewritten, optimized new site went live. “Witels Albert USA has gained and maintains the #1 position in Google searches from my product, and I out rank all of my competitors.” In addition, ever increasing site traffic and more importantly conversions (in this case completion of a “Contact Us” form) are helping grow Witels Albert business. Particularly sweet to Bob’s ear are the growing number of customers calling and saying “I learned about you on the internet”.
The Catalog
Concurrent with the website work, AIM learned that Witels Albert’s internet catalog was an English translation of a German catalog; poorly written with poor site structure. Customers had great difficulty finding what they wanted, if they found it at all; and site navigation was cumbersome and slow.
Experiencing such good results with the new website, Bob Flower, president of Witels Albert USA agreed to the new online catalog AIM proposed. The catalog would include more than 100 products with pictures, information on variations of each product, and technical drawings and spec sheets for most. A “shopping cart” type of program, but without the online buying function, as Witels Albert straighteners are custom products that often require individual consultation.
“It was great” says Bob, “I was getting inquiries from the new catalog before it even went live.” And since it has gone live, site traffic and conversions have surged, growing each day. “With the ability to ask us for information right there at every product, the number of contacts we’re getting is beyond anything I expected. Customers are finding our new website, our new catalog, and the products they want quickly and easily. I’m even getting inquiries from Europe, Asia and Africa territories of the home office.”
As for Bob, well, his whole world is changing. Less travel, reduced advertising and print cost, fewer trade shows to attend… A growing customer base without additional sales people…The ability to discuss the right product with each customer with pictures, specifications and drawings, immediately available to the customer… The ability to do business from just about anywhere… Saving time and money…
